I do not have photos, but I have drawn a diagram. Hope it helps

9 thread vertical control

Black lines are wires. The brown line in the side view is a leather strip to hinge the control in your hand. You will have the fingers free to manipulate the hands wires. The rod for legs can be detached from the hook to move the legs.

The rod for the head threads is fixed, but when you move the control in the transverse axis, the marionette will say "No" The rods for shoulders and head is better to be in different planes, the head's one should be forward the shoulders'

Luman Coad's book, title escapes me at the moment, has the most complete review of nearly every controller you can imagine. It's available at the Puppeteers of America. And you don't have to be a member to order books.

Try this. It's called Marionette Sourcebook: Theory and Technique.

I believe Luman is also scheduled for a workshop at the PofA convention this summer in Atlanta...

Give the Puppetry Arts Institute a try.  They have most of his marrionettes and I think perhaps they actually hold the rights to the books. http://www.hazelle.org/leroy.html
