Ok, is it like a premixed paper mache or paper clay? Ho w strong is it (obviously strong enough, you've used it before) just wondering about other applications too...

What to do you mean, "How strong is it?" usually you cover with fleece so it will hold itself very well.

You can carve y20 foam or even a piece of foam into the shapes you desire.  These are all light materials as the above stuff I mention.

thank you guys for all this info, im sorry that i had to bring up such an awkward question and let it run on like that    it wont be easy either way to make....them. i have finished that step already but ill make sure to try your methods if the situation occurs. Steve, would love to enroll at NIDA but i live in florida and as of right now its no dice on affording to live there. thank you for your help, i wish i was in your shoes :]

QCrazy didn't mean you go to NIDA, rather that you try a local equivalent.

Say steve, i dont know if i already said this but what were the Q puppets eyes made of? they are much bigger and more dome like than any plastic spoon that ive seen, i have yet to find something that will work better than just a piece of white fleece, i like big eyes and all i can do is make them out of layers of fabric

I can normally find clear plastic "domes" at the hobby store.  They are actually for making Christmas ornaments.  They are "ball" but you pull them apart and have two domes for the right and left eyes. You can paint the insides of them with acrylic paint or leave the clear and put an eye behind them that is flat made of something like felt. If you paint them you have to do it in reverse. In other words you paint the pupil first then the iris and then the white of the eye last.

wow shawn that sounds perfect! would i find them at christmas stores? or maybe walmart and joanns when the time comes? ill look for them online for now 

I normally see them at Hobby Lobby. You might be able to find them at JoAnnes. Normally at Hobby Lobby they are available all year long.  In fact I can usally find egg shaped ones also.

Shawn, I've seen them on a tutorial on you tube but can't find them in Oz but I haven't tried the christmas warehouse shops yet! They were referred to as hobby balls so I guess I didn't think enough past that before.
Q Eyes are made from a custom vac form shape. I think vac form has been covered on here enough...
