How to make a movable clock or speaker mouth puppet Posted by fbctcpuppets on Mar 27, 2009
Hello. My wife and I are puppet leaders of First Baptist Church in Texas City. Of course, either my wife or I will get a wild hair such as having some object to start singing a song. Well, we are working on a clock that will do just that, but we do not know how to make the mouth move effectively.
I have searched the internet and been unable to find a good way to do it until I found your site. I read one of the posts here that sort of talked about doing but, really didn't tell or show how to make it. Can anyone help?
Thank you for your help.

Hello and welcome!
Are you talking about a flat clock with a moving mouth? If so, I've done that before. I will explain the process as best I can, if that's what you are talking about.

OK, here it is...it's an extremely simple version, and just written quickly, so please forgive the messiness.
Hope this is what you are looking for! ;-)

Daryl,
I would also be very interested in knowing how to do a Bunsen Honeydew type mouth as well. So far, my attempts have been nothing short of embarrassing.
Sara,
Thanks so much for your quick sketch. That looks SO easy, I'll probably have to make one, and then dream up reasons for having it.
