Aw, I want one :D
I love the stripey legs, they remind me of something you'd see in Alice in Wonderland crossed with candycanes

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Any chance of a You tube clip of them at work?

Very nice job with the birds.....They are so bright and colourful.....you did a very professional job on them.....any chance with a video of them in motion before you pass them along?
Thanks for showing us step by step it will sure help many that may need to make similar puppets.

They turned out perfect!! I would love to see them in action!!
Re: Cable Controlled Flamingos Posted by Out of the Box Puppets on Apr 07, 2009
Unfortunately I don't have a video camera. I rely on my customers to send photos and film of the puppets in actions. I hope they will have a moment to film them.
Thanks for all the kind words. It's always fun to take on a new challenge. I really could have done so much more with them, but usually everyone is on a tight budget, so I have to scale back. I'm starting on two snakes and a bee using a similar technique only they will be used in blacklight. Busy...busy.

Have you checked out your digital camera as of late......they have a built in video camera feature that will tape anywhere from two minutes and longer depending on how much memory your card has. I have a pretty cheap camera for taking pictures for the internet use only and used the video part of it and it worked great....and I mean cheap....I then loaded it up to You Tube easy peasy.....just an idea to look into and see if your camera has such a feature.

Those creatures are just wonderful. What a terrific job!
Re: Cable Controlled Flamingos Posted by Out of the Box Puppets on Apr 08, 2009
Thanks Daryl, yes my camera has that feature, but I have tried to upload it on to my computer and every time I do it freezes up. I'm not sure what the problem is whether the computer or camera. I'll have to try again.
