Looking for puppet blanks Posted by MsPuppet on Apr 15, 2009
Someone asked me if I knew anyone who sold puppet blanks. They are interested in a Funzel type that they can add their own facial features and hair to. Might be interested in half body blanks too. Do you know anyone and do you have any idea as to what the pricing might be?

They could be made easy enought for a reasonable price, But making them from a pattern would be the best way to go. I would charge about 40 or 50 dollars depending on exactly what they want.

Since we only charge $59 for a completed puppet on our website, and they want a bunch to do for a kids thing, I think I would have to lower the cost to somewhere around 15-20. Not sure I want to take that on, which is why I am trying to help them find other options.

Billy had made up some blanks at one time I think.... perhaps he'll chime in on this soon.

I can't really make them for any less than $50 bucks either.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with "Funzel type". Are they looking for hand puppets like Project Puppet's "Simple Series" or complete foam puppets? How many do they need? I may be able to find someone that can help them.

Maybe you can learn it yourself. Buy or get a pattern, foam and material. It is the cheapest way to do it.
