Hands Up Puppetry Group Posted by littlebitwired on Apr 18, 2009
Hi all, I wanted to share this link. I did some volunteer work with Urban Fairytale Productions. I wanted to learn and share techniques and was given the opportunity to help out with the Hands Up Puppetry course being taught at my local community centre under the guidance of Urban Fairytale Productions and the Toronto Arts Council.
The free class was open to students aged 10 to 18. It was a small group and I think the kids did an amazing job.
They worked on everything from scripts, storyboards, puppet building, set construction to acting, filming and editing. It was a a really big project and I couldn't be prouder than to share it with them!

It looks like you along with the kids had so much fun. The video is a nice twist to the traditional tale. Thanks for sharing and glad you came by to share this experience.

Thanks I had a blast actually and learned a lot along the way! It was a huge project for them and they really did an amazing job, I found it hard not to laugh during filming. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
