How can you put the flexible mouthplate to the head ...... glue it
You would sew it into the mouth.  Or at least that is how I would do it.

So, its much better to sew a fabric felt onto the farbric head (Mouth head) and the glue from inside de mouth plate?

You can do either way......I usually glue the fabric onto the mouth.....and sometimes I have sewed it in.

Sorry Gombie "Bear in the big blue house" is Hensons

o wrong again............ but I like the program

tree house sounds fermilair (I don't know the spelling, sorry) but from what ?

I don't know what is wise. I want to use the puppets with little kids, toddlers for example. I want to be able to wash by hand a puppet because it will be dirty with little kids. And kids will hold, hug and kiss a puppet.  I think it would be wise to sew it to the fabric but when you do is the mouth kept in shape ? Is it possible to sew it to the head and still get it of sometimes to wash the fabric ?
I want to use jeans for the mouthplate, is that possible ?

They also have some video of the show but for some reason they don't like where I live.   It just keeps saying "This content is currently unavalialble." with the note: "You are not in a geographical region that has access to this content.".  I knew that Canadians didn't always care for Americans but wow.

Well, that is just one small price to pay. I can't even watch the video's on the muppets website because I live in Canada. I guess we all have to sacrifice some fun in this day and age (

I made tonight a jeans mouthplate in a puppet it worked well but the only thing is that you can see my fingers. Is that solvable with thicker jeans or leather ?
Re: flexibel mouthplate ?! Posted by StiqPuppet Productions on May 01, 2009
Maybe you could use a piece of foam between your fingers and the hean inside the head. This may reduce your fingers poking through.

sorry but what is a hean.................. do I get it write to stick foam to the back of the mouthplate?
Re: flexibel mouthplate ?! Posted by StiqPuppet Productions on May 03, 2009
Opps I mean Plate not hean......I am not sure what a hean is on any puppet or anything in this world....sorry about the confusion.

Hm, i think you should use a thin foam sheet and a piece of leather. that would be a great alternative to gasket rubber, mostly cuz i cant find any.... i wanted to make a glorified sock puppet of my dog so i think ill try that too
