I am a little confused......is this for Styrofoam use only or the foam we normally use with puppets? If it is used with the softer foam has anyone used it for 3-d foam applications (puppets) and what is the dry time and does it stick together right away or do you have to hold and wait? Just need clarification for myself. It seems interesting stuff and might be a good alternative to the harsh contact cement.

Here is the blurb on Foam Fusion from the manufacturer: Permeates the foam and bonds around its cells. Other glues containing solvents will dissolve foam over time. Not affected by heat & cold as with glue guns. Works with most rigid foams including Styrofoam, and many soft foams. Bonds foam to almost any porous surface. Hot Wire Foam Factory tools will cut through this glue.
The manufacturer is Hot Wire Foam Factory http://hotwirefoamfactory.com/

Well, everybody is correct about Foam Fusion. I am building this puppet out to Styrofoam. I had to laminate six layer of foam together. I the past I have used several spray adhesives and Elmers glue. None could hold the bond good enough to carve the foam. So far, this stuff works great.
About the puppet. It will be a rod puppet. Its mouth will move, as well as it wings. This is a little different than the puppets that we normally discuss on this forum, but I have come to enjoy this style since being introduced to it at a local puppet theater. My dinosaur puppet was of a similar construction. Sorry, I cannot find the link to it on this forum, Shawn can you help? I am not going to cover the penguin with a hard paper nache skin. I am going to use a Foam Coat that the Hot Wire Foam Factory sell.
I have picture of what I did this weekend, but they are still on my camera. I will get them soon.
Thank you.
