Andrew

Recently Puppet building.com was down due to someone hacking your website. It was greatly missed. I had joined a membership from the old format. I assume those memberships do not exist anymore.
In the event that something happened like this again ( God Forbid ) would memberships to the workshops come with some type of security guarantee. If for some reason the videos and PDF could not be viewed a year from now would you offer back up copies. I do plan to join this week..................... but was wondering, my experience with working with the public there may be some concerns. Just trying to bring everything to the table for discussion. A lot of people are not quite sure about live Tv yet. Can you assure folks about how it works.

I think this is an excellent idea, and I can't wait for the course to start!

I guess, Like Mr. Fuller said: Will be great if you give us record in some video format the classes after is finish, in case we need to go back to remain us anything back.

I do understand the benefit from having back up copies of the content and material. However, I think the class is suppose to be more process driven than anything else. I plan on keeping a notebook for the course, so if I do lose the course materials I will always have my notebook.

That is a good idea............... I'm so use to having back up copies, VHS copies, DVD copies to reference to if I need to refresh myself.

May I suggest that everyone read the faq page... it has some good points

I am looking forward to taking the work shop. I feel a bit like I am going back to School.

Andrew did mention in his post that he would give each one who registers a key code to access PDF files. I'm not sure about video.

The old user account data was lost with the old site unfortunately. After what happened to the previous version of PuppetBuilding.com (for those that don't know someone hacked in to the site through the Wiki to post links to porn and gambling sites...user data was never compromised at any time) I've taken a number of extra security measures. I'm a little reluctant to discuss them in a public forum for obvious reasons, but there are a number of back-ups in place. With the system I use if, for example, the server PuppetBuilding.com was taken offline completely, I can have it up and running somewhere else within 24 hours so I think we'll be safe even in the worst possible situations.

All of the materials for the course (.pdfs and videos) can be downloaded and users will be able to save their own copies and back them up as well. All of the live video chats will also be recorded so they can be watched later.

And you're right Matt, the course really is intended to be process driven.

You know when I was originally setting up dates, I completely forgot that I'm supposed to be in Atlanta during the course, so I may be doing one of the live sessions from the PofA Fest. If that comes to pass I'm going to try to score some extra-special guests.

So we get a impression of the festval then. I don't know it here

Thanks Andrew

I just wanted folks to hear it from you. I totally understand this being a delicate issue to not discuss in a forum. I think you gave just the right information needed for assurance.

See you soon!

Well, just to be clear I am not 100% sure I'm able to attend the festival yet so I cannot guarantee that. In addition to doing the course, I may have another commitment over the summer that prevents me from going. I'm trying to sort out that conflict right now and if I'm in Atlanta I plan to be blogging and will definitely be sharing some of my experiences online.

I think a few people from P&S are going, are they not?
