...we are having our Sock Off 2 we are calling this one Mitt Off....you will see why as you read.
We expanding by holding it at another site so that we can accommodate more people who want to participate on a web cam if they choose....you don't have to just another option. If you do it at home during the show you would post the picture link at the end of the hour. Here is the link to my page at Stickam http://www.stickam.com/puppetslive You need to sign up now because it takes a few days sometimes to get an email to confirm your page....then become a friend so you can find my site easily and you will be ready when the show starts......
WE have prizes this time and they are so great....they are provided by Billy from SS Puppets store http://www.freewebs.com/sspuppets/ He is providing for the first prize $50.00 worth of materials in his store and a $25.00 for the second prize winner. Thank you Billy for this nice bonus for our second face off.....I am hoping this will motivate EVERYONE to join in and have fun.....I think everyone from the last Sock off can vouch of the fun we had.
This time we are focusing on the Kitchen in an average home.....the main piece for making the puppet is a Oven Mitt from a dollar store this cannot be a premade puppet oven mitt just a plain cheap oven mitt.....here is the list for decorating the puppet.....
- 2 plastic utensils of choice prepared if you need them to be
-dish towel
-2 wooden skewers
-1 piece of cereal box
-1 Brillo pad
-5 twist ties
-6" X 6" of Tin Foil
-1 paper towel roll
-1 egg carton
-2 corks or caps
-1 mystery item from the kitchen (average kitchens does not have fake fur....as one example) that is used to decorate the puppet not used as a tool as well it cannot already be on this list.
-any round black circles to make them into pupils such as the felt to protect furniture or black stickers round as examples.
-6" x 6" felt any colour
-tape
-Glue gun
-scissors
This is it.....now you don't need to have ALL material you can collect only what you need if you have an idea or you can start with a blank slate with all materials in front of you. This is all in great fun and you don't need to be a professional puppet maker to participate you might never have made a puppet before that is okay....this might be a spring board to get into making puppets....we will have judges and hopefully a poll for all those who watch to put a vote in and be part of the show.
We are again only allowing one hour for the competition.......that is it.

Remember you don't need to have a cam to watch and you can chat through typing with others from this site or from my BlogTV site it is a fun group to chat with live.....hope to see many of you out for fun and laughter.
