Greetings from Cincinnati Posted by dpatters28 on Jun 05, 2009
Hello everyone,
I already made a bit of an introduction post, but now I realize I posted it in the wrong area!!!! Anyway, my name is Doug and I live in Cincinnati. I have always thought puppets were cute and fun - but only recently did my desire to build puppets of my own begin. I've been watching tutorials on YouTube and this week went out, bought lots of supplies and created a puppet based on a lady I used to karaoke with back in the day. She was a character and the puppet encompasses that quite well. Anyway, I am hoping to create a web show with her and maybe some other puppets I create down the line. I can already tell it's a very rewarding process and I'm already forming lots and lots of projects in my head. I'll post a picture of Baby Cakes (the puppet's name). Let me know what you think. Considering this is my first attempt at puppet making, I'm pleased with the results so far. Poor dear still needs a body though.
