First puppet. Posted by BrutalSlakt on Jun 09, 2009
Hi everyone! I am very new to the puppetscene, just started thinking about it the day before yesterday and now I sit here with my first selfmade puppet! I wanted a little filmproject this summer but I didn't want real actors (I only have myself) and I didn't want to do a stop motion-film (takes foreeeever) and then I got it, puppets! So I decided to do a puppetshow for my nephew. It's going to be like a children's television programme with different kinds of puppets. I've only come up with two things so far but I figured to get it starting so there's som fun and not just thinking.

I got the first puppet ready, he's the host of the show, he's a little blue child that likes to suck on his tumb and he has two mice-friends in a little box (fingerpuppets that I haven't made yet) that he interacts with.

The second one is a storytelling part. I've made a little stage and I'm going to have pictures on sticks and do some famous children-stories.

Here's a picture of my little blue boy:

(I know the tounge looks wrong, I didn't use permanent glue so I can change it)

And here's the little stage:

Nice job. Even more impressive is you already made a puppet stage too.
I do have one question. What did you use to make the puppet's nose?

The nose is a big button!
