Birthday present for my niece Posted by VampireWombat on Jun 09, 2009
I realize it's been awhile since I've posted any pictures on here. For those of you who don't know, I've been doing a puppet a day for the last month and been posting them on my blog. As a result of this, I've made a pattern and expanded upon the "Expert Village method" of making puppets so that I can make them faster, but still have a more traditional foam and fleece foam skull.
My niece's birthday was yesterday and I made her a puppet using this method. I believe the puppet is 10 or 11 inches tall. It's a semi-portrait puppet. Meaning, it was meant to vaguely resemble her, but I didn't use any reference when doing so and just used the color of yarn for hair that I had available.

Hey vampire what a great job you did on the puppet.....I really like the braces you put on her what a nice touch.....it looks like your Niece has a smile on her face since you can only see a nice round cheeck......one happy girl.

Thanks for sharing....

Thanks for the comments.

Billy - Yeah, she just turned 9. I guess that makes her in about the right age.

Daryl - Yeah, she was pretty happy about the puppet.
