I'm so excited to be a part of this forum. I'm a 13 year old ventriloquist, and have been doing it since age 11. I used to be deathly afraid of puppets and dummies. During my fear, I met a local ventriloquist and one of his puppets. It was during the meeting that I figured out, that the man was talking for the puppet without moving his lips. I then learned the skill quickly and slowly eased out of my fear by working with my characters. I've given about four public performances, and now have my own web show on YouTube. I think its great you over came your fear and became a puppeteer in the process!! I can't wait to look at some of your shots thanks for sharing your story!

BTW:  If anyone on this site bothers you, just let me know.  I didn't realize how young you where till you  mentioned it and I looked at your pics.    We have a pretty nice family here and you'll see their names scattered about the forum but it is an open internet website and anyone could just pop in. Ok... I promise that is the last of the "Parent" stuff.

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff.............. We have had several your age over the years of which I have tried to keep a progress check on. One in mind was a young man named Alan who joined with great enthusiasm. The last I heard he was a assistant Youth Minister of his church. The others have moved on with a great future in Puppetry.
If I can be of any help to you do not hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined our group and I agree with Mr. Shawn if anyone bothers you just let either one of us know.
