this is a great post if you guys no my work i use stuff around the house a lot. iv found that mouse pads are great for many things. water bottel caps make awsome eyes or smooth surface to attach  googlies to and they come in diffrent sizes and thickneses.

twist ties are also good you can them for many things i like to put them in the fingers of my hands to bend them also bent papper clips work. iv used coffee can lids many times for mouth plates old ace bandages make great straps iv also used the covers that go on the screws on the bottom of your toliet for eyes.

packing penuts are always use full chop sticks can be used for many things iv used them for aplping glue and there are also so many ways of making your materiels last. if you but your paint or glue brushed in the frezzer after use they will last longer

saving all your scrap fur is also good even the smallest pice can be used for some thing
if you happen to no a guitar player ask them for there old stings when they change them the can be used for a lot of things also you can use them to attach features temeralery or to keep some think on your puppet like glases or even for blinking eyes.

any thing you can think of can be use there are endless posibilitys for almost any thing

That reminds me of Indy Mogul's 4-Minute Film School and the lesson on drawless animation (essentially puppets in front of a green screen). His mantra is "Don't spend any money on it because it's fast fast fast." The secret is to use lots of cardboard and LOTS of hot glue. Whatever is lying around the house is fair game.
