Very sorry to hear the sad news.  Oddly i was just thinking about my dog who i had to put down a few years ago.  Death just isn't a thing i handle well (i'm sure no one does).  Years later, tho i'm able to go a week without thinking about it... maybe even a month.  Her memories pop up here n there and she was just a great dog, and i grew up with her.  My parents were dog breeders, so i was there when she was born, and begged for my mom to let me keep her.  Of all the puppies we had i never begged so much lol.

But the best thing about having a pet that you love, is there will always be memories of the good times.  So keep those memories in mind.  I remember, and tho its funny... she smiled every time i'd come home.  Almost like a growl, without the sound... she'd show her teeth.  Very cute.

I love animals, and it's very painful to see one go. I am in contact with a kennel about an hour from where I live. They've just picked up some cats and kittens that were taped up in a box and left on the side of the road. All the cats lived, and it looks like I'm going to go down and adopt one of them. The cat is white, and I'm going to name him Ghost if all goes well and they let me take him home.

Anyway, I have been working on the fraggle all through this, I still cannot get the face right, but I'mm getting a whole heck of a lot closer. Made another foam skull, and this one looks like it just might work. Have to make the fleece covering again to test, and I will most likely do that tonight.

Sorry I haven't been posting a whole lot of pics, but there's been a whole lot of me failing and not much progress.

I made a skull from the pattern I made(No the nose. Still working on it). But, I don't know what pattern to use for the fabric. Well, I figure it out(If anybody can help, are welcome). I will post pics later on.

Miguel, if mine works, I'll let you know, and I can post it. I might need to make more modifications to it though.

Nice to hear that you're going to adopt.  And even better news to hear that they survived.  Its sad when people just leave animals on the side of a road like that and NOT think to go to a shelter.  However, in my state they're over run with cats and i think its mandatory to have them spade.  Which is a plus.  There just are so many.  And i'm not a cat person so i cant save them all... i'm into little dogs.  As i mentioned, my parents bred them when i was growing up so i'm used to them.

I was watching Fraggle Rock and trying to grasp an idea on how their foam skulls worked.  I'm still not sure on how to design foam skulls... i've built all mine then placed foam inside.  But this is a technique i'm interested in.

I used a foam block once... if that counts.  But i dont make a pattern out of it

I am sorry about your kitty.  Our cat is about 9 years old and I can't imagine her not being around.

I'm glad the foam head is working out,  I hope it's right on.  Let me know by pm, as I'm not around always, if there are any change I should make.

Thanks guys. Having this new kitty is like having a baby. It's hard in the beginning to get him used to everything. I'm afraid to let him down my basement because I fear he will eat all my puppet making stuff!

I've also been studying the fraggles and trying to see how they're built. You can tell that they use different puppets for close ups and far away shots. Especially with Wembley. I have to sew the skull at some point, but it's amazing how hard it's been to find time lately! I pretty much just stopped playing that beta, so once the cat is settled in, I probably will just sit down and finish Wembley and Red.

If the pattern works for the Wembley I'm working on, I'll gladly post it. I'm not 100 percent confident in it yet, but it's the closest I've come so far.

I screwed up about 10 foam skulls this weekend, but I still am plugging along and trying to make this work. Don't have anything worth posting yet, sorry guys. I do have some more of Red done. I'll take photos soon and get those posted. I might wait until we've got the shirt made, though.
