I'm trying to see if the nose has been sewn on to the head or is actually part of the head. I can't really tell in this picture.

I will try and modify the pattern both ways ....... nose as a separate piece or designed into the head it self. Do you have any other closer views of the nose itself.

I am pretty sure that the nose is one piece, but I have to delve further into it though. I have "decisive evidence" at home that will tell me definitely. I'll post again when I get back there.

Hello and welcome......

The nose is all one piece and yes it has a foam underlay for the entire head.....that is something you will need to do to keep the head in the right shape.......can you use the glorified sock puppet pattern?.......I think as a guide line but you will have to alter it more due to the shape you are dealing with.....the mouth is  very different in shape.....and the worry over foam.......it is an easy and fun material to use and since you are covering it you don't have to worry about it looking perfect so cutting and gluing until you achieve the right shape will be alright.......it looks like a fun project and I look forward to seeing your progress.

All the best......

I was just looking at posts in my random usual way and found that video answer you found, Billy, and that was the exact answer to a question i had in mind those days. Once again, thank you for sharing!

PS: welcome on board!

Okay, I'm back from work. Thought I'd post this just in case it was useful. It's a few more shots of Wembley from the side, but it's also some screen captures from a "making of the puppets of fraggle rock" that was included with the season 4 dvds. It doesn't go into too too much detail, talks a bit about antron fleece and scott foam and stuff like that, but the woman in the video is holding what looks like the underskeleton to a fraggle that is very similar to Wembley. She stresses that it is not wembley, and that Wembley, unlike this particular puppet, actually had some sort of ball glued in his nose to keep the shape. Also, the puppet in the video seems like it might be a bit too big to be wembley. Anyway, hope something like this might help. I've just added them to the top of my web gallery. They should be on the first page:

Oh, and I have also confirmed that the head is, in fact, one piece.

Hope this helps. ^_^

I believe she did screen shots from the DVD Fraggle rock fourth season...... and "making of the puppets of fraggle rock" that was included with the season 4 dvds.

Where can I get that DVD?

Currently Season 4 is only available in the complete series dvd set. Unless you can find someone selling it on ebay. I haven't heard if they plan on releasing season 4 by itself.
