I Love these Sue. How tall are they?................. Will more than one puppeteer be operating them. I would say you have out done yourself this time but that would be repetitious. Since every build of yours is just as good as the last. I want to see the show now.

Billy D.

The Full Body is approximately 4' 6" tall. The half body is 24 inches tall.  The FB will be operated by two puppeteers while the half will be one puppeteer, and that part will be video. The program is being done by 4 puppeteers and we will have the show open with the two old puppets on video getting ready to take a trip. They will then talk about the journey they began many years ago as they looked for something they were missing and how each one found Christ. Segue into first song with Young Peter and Amazing Love, (Bebo Norman) then back to talking about how Rhoda wasn't thrilled with his decision then back to live puppets with both FB Young Rhoda and FB Young Peter and the song By Your Side (Tenth Avenue North). Then back to video and Old couple again talking about how finally Rhoda found Christ and how He helped her through rough times in her life. Last song, Carry Me, (Kathleen Carnali), FB Young Rhoda singing and the song ending with Jesus (my hubby) coming from behind stage and picking up the puppet and carrying her off stage while she finishes the song. Final scene once again film with old couple talking about how God will be with them on this trip as well and driving away from their house.

So this is the program in a nutshell. I still have to write the script, record it, film and edit, and put it together on a DVD. What do you think? Too serious? It is for an audience of puppeteers at a conference and my goal is to show something different. Emphasis on quality puppet performance as well as showing a different style

A friend who went to Full Sail film school will be there and hopefully he will be able to film for me so I can get a decent copy of the performance.

Will post more pics soon.

Yeah it's a lot of work but I really love doing this. As for selling the DVD I don't know about that, I would have to get permission from the song owners etc. Not sure how to go about doing that, so if you have any thoughts let me know.

I'm working on the body for the old Rhoda and will be putting face on her soon. Then I can work on the young Rhoda and do the fullbody thing.

It does sound wonderful, Sue.  If you can't sell it, could you at least post some to give us an idea of how it went?  I would really like to see it also!

You've built yourself two absolutely beautiful puppets. If you can share some video of them that would be awesome.

Finished another puppet for the show. This is Rhoda in her later years. I think she turned out well. I was trying to portray someone elegant and yet homey. I think she and Pete look good together. Next job, Rhoda much younger and full body. I'm thinking she needs longish blonde hair.

What do you think of the makeup job? I tried to be subtle yet have the makeup noticable from a distance. I hope you all have a makeup kit for your puppets. It really adds a lot to the look. I need to go back and add Peet's makeup. Nothing flashy just a little color on his cheeks and lips for definition.

First a photo of Rhoda. She's all ready for a day of shopping.

So here they are, everyone's favorite Old Couple. Pete and Rhoda.

I don't know if you can tell, but Rhoda has teeth. This has been a fun building project so far. Now I just have to finish.
