I love the look of it! I noticed a lot of movement in the top of the face though. Is that intentional, or just a result of moving the bottom jaw?
My suggestion would be to add some stuffing of some kind to the top, so it won't move so much if that is not what you are going for.

Great job on the tree! I think the movement of the top of the face really adds expression to the puppet. When you did the voice the character came alive. Very cool.

Looks like a large project. Loved the test shot. I would suggest some fill lighting, but if your looking to make this a darker film, then leave it be. Have your thought about illuminating the eyes slightly with some LED's? This will make the eyes more noticeable. I like the slight movement of the face. Gives it less of a puppet look and more realistic. Think about how even the human face moves when you talk.
