Hand Hole Posted by RichVStone on Jul 30, 2009
Would any of you mind posting pics of the puppets where your hand enters? I'd like to see how you all go about finishing them?

I'd be interested too, in knowing about lining...
If you line your hand holes or not, and if you do, how do you do it?
In thinking about it logically, I know how to put a lining in for the body, but not how I would do it for the head where the hand has to be able to grip the mouth.

No you do not want a lining for the hand.   You can glue fabric to the inside of the mouth plate if you want for grip.  Many folks also glue in what are called finger tubes or glue in straps to help hold the hand in place.

That's what I though, Shawn, but I wasn't sure what other's did.
We used the puppets a few weeks ago outside in very hot weather, and boy did they get sweaty!
