Doctor Wundor's Lab Posted by VampireWombat on Aug 12, 2009
Well... It's been awhile since I've posted anything new here.

I've started a show on Blogtv which I called Doctor Wundor's Lab. I felt I should share pictures of the puppets for it on here. Despite the name, Dr. Wundor is actually not finished. Eyegore, his assistant has been the one hosting.

Eyegore is made with a foam head base that I made months ago with modifications made to it. His eyes are foam spheres that I painted. His mouth plate is leather sandwiched between black fleece and t-shirt scraps. The two halves aren't connected. The idea came from Creaturiste one day while I was still working on Eyegore and he was working on a Satyr puppet. I wear a glove to perform with him which hides the hole. this method also allows him to swallow things.
His teeth are foam. His hands are gloves and his arms are stuffed with polyfill up to the elbow area. The sleeve coming down from him is made from t-shirt material too. And his hump is made from fun foam and other foam. His skin is made from two fleece baby blankets from Dollar Tree and his hair from a boa from Dollar Tree.

Dr. Wundor is being made with foam using shapes as I go. His mouth plate is mousepad (thanks Nlace2). The mouth plate is attached to a sock which is attached to the foam. And the skin is polar fleece from Joanne's. More pictures will come as he progresses.

Thanks. Eyegore seems to be somewhat of a favorite somehow. Monday night he got away with reading out of Webster's Thesaurus...

. Just wondering! Ho you did that (Looks like still difficult to do those) Did you used acrylic or something like that for the skin?
Re: Doctor Wundor's Lab Posted by VampireWombat on Aug 13, 2009
Oh no. The baby blankets I used were already that color.
