I don't know what the deal is with the Gallery. It shows images in sub-albums but not those in users main album it seems.   Here I inserted one manually.

According to the news feed on the contest site, 4 out of 5 judges have turned in their top ten picks out of the 24 entries, so they should (hopefully) have them up for the people's choice votes within the next couple days.
