Are we allowed to talk about this yet? Posted by gav on Sep 02, 2009
It's been many months and still no word or reimbursement from Andrew.  So I'm curious if we can speak about this yet.  If not Shawn or Billy delete my post and I apologize.  I would hate for this to slip away.   The money and trust allot of us put out has been taken with no updates.  I know there are extenuating circumstances with this situation.  It's been about three to four months and it's clear are money is gone.  So again can we talk about this.

I follow Andrew on twitter, and he is apparently still behind reading and replying to emails. He started the night at 2,500, has eliminated the junk, and is down to 950ish real emails. Hopefully, today or tomorrow he finally starts to reply and take care of this situation.

I'm still waiting(In the good sense). I guess when people goes through out those things what we should do is wait. There is a said in Spanish(I'm gonna try to translate it) "You don't know the leaking(drops water) of the neighbor, until you live in there" (Hopefully you understand that).
Lets give Him a chance!

It is ok to talk about it I think but you must realize that Puppets and Stuff is not connected or responsible for Andrews actions in any way.   Ok I did the disclaimer.

I still believe that Andrew is a good person and has good intentions.  It is hard to know what his situation is at the moment and most likely best not to speculate.

Andrew's blog entry on July 26 says that he was hoping to get back into the swing of things in either late August or September. As we are just in the beginning of September, it seems to me that a little more waiting would certainly be appropriate.

I wasn't aware of the blog.  I just didn't want this to fade away and be forgotten. we'll see what happens.

Puppet Building 101 Update
This is mainly just an update for anyone who enrolled in the Puppet Building 101 online puppet building course...originally I had intended to restart the course this month however after taking a really long, hard look at my personal and professional commitments I've come to the realization that circumstances force me completely cancel it and issues refunds to everyone who was still enrolled:

If you already requested a refund via PayPal, you will receive a full refund within 6-8 business days (the delay is only because of the time it takes to transfer funds from a Canadian bank account to PayPal).

For everyone else in the United States and Canada, refunds will be issued as bank drafts or money orders drawn on either Canadian or U.S. banks (depending on where you live) and sent by express mail directly to you. Refunds will be issued within 2 business days upon receipt of your mailing address by me.

Everyone from overseas should contact me directly so we can figure out the most expedient way to issue a refund.
Unfortunately, I'm not planning to run any courses online in the future. I think it's a fantastic idea in principle - and I hope someone else is able to do it and has lots of success with it - but it's not something I'll be able to do professionally going forward.

PuppetBuilding.com is currently offline. Just as I have with the courses, I've come to realize that I don't have the time available to run and maintain the site properly. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please contact me directly and I'd happy to discuss that with anyone who's seriously interested in taking it over.

I'm currently in the midst of reorganizing and consolidating my other puppetry sites and planning to relaunch PuppetVision in the near future. Stay tuned.

While it is sad news I am sure that many are relived to hear this. I am sure that it was a very hard decision for Andrew to make.
