Japan is notorious for game shows. The Ellen Show gets a lot of her ideas from watching Japan Game shows on you tube. Thanks for Sharing Craig ! That was a hoot !

I absolutely love the Japanese for their cleverness. They are awesome, and those segmants are really inspiring to me. I always wonder how do they come up with such ideas and how they actually were able to play them on the television stage. Thank you for the links Steve. I had not seen the baseball one.

Hehe I've seen all of these before, hilarious and very clever.

But I would definitely call this bunraku, I'm sure they do. After all, they started bunraku!

In the strict sense of the definition of Bunraku it would not be that style. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunraku  It is based on that style though. Overt puppetry or object manipulation may better fit this style as a "title".
