She is such a cute duck.....great job Chris!!

BTW you can also have the duck fall behind the stage and the wolf head goes behind the stage edge partially and feathers fly in the air (someone throws white feathers in the air off stage) to give the impression of the duck being eaten without trying to rig up such a complex set up for a short scene.  Sometimes it those scenes go un-noticed because they happen so quickly people miss it all.  Just another thought.

Ooh! I love the thought of white feathers flying! That would look great! I have 42 seconds for the action of the sad demise of the duck, before the story teller shifts attention to the tree where the bird and the cat are hiding from the wolf. A part of that would be the well-fed wolf moving over to the tree, but the stage is not huge, so that wouldn't take long.

It's always good to have options. Thanks for the terrific suggestion!

Oh, and thanks everyone for the kind reaction to the duck.

Daryl, thanks for the idea about the feathers. I poked about six feathers in a short length of 1/2" pvc pipe, and gave it a good puff of air and the feathers flew high! It looks great!
