A New Chensational Re-Introduction... Posted by Chensational on Sep 27, 2009
Hi All,

I have been very happy with all of the wonderful and kind things that have been shared on Puppets and Stuff forum.  Thanks everyone.  I have however notice a small point that seems to be a bit confusing; my name.  Just to clear things up for people, my name is Kanja Chen.  My first name, the one I answer to, is Kanja.  Pronounced "kon-ya"  My last name is Chen.  In class I go by Mr. Chen but here Kanja is appropriate.  So again, my first name is Kanja and last name is Chen.  I hope this clarifies things.  I look forward to many more wonderful posts.

Thanks evryone.

Thanks for clearing that up......................... I will have to admit that I am not one that is good with names. With so many online names to remember it is easy to get confused. I was not sure how you pronounced it but now I know.  Thanks again Kanja !

Nice to re-meet you Kanja.   It is often confuseing as Billy mentioned since the internet uses usernames for everything.

Something that folks can do is add their real name to their Profile if they want. Under Profile > Account Related Settings there is a spot for Name. If you enter your real name, or the name you want to be known by in that box then it shows up on all your post and on your profile instead of your username. You can also use the Signature box under Profile > Forum Profile Information page if you want to put your name and it is added to each of your post.

Yes, I know that not actually talking to someone face to face can lead to lots of confusion about names.  One more final thing about my name, or more specifically, my company name, is that my last name and company name is pronounced "ch" like "champion" and "en" like "men"; Chen.  My company name is a play on my name "Chen-sational", not pronounced "sensational" but rather with an emphasis on the "ch" sound.

I hope that clears stuff up as well.  Like I said, lots of great stuff to share on this forum.  I look forward to continued posts.
