why, thanks, Rosie! I'm a big fan of your work, by the way ---I especially love your dolls over at Etsy...and you're quite productive as well, I see you've a bunch of puppets in the mix as well
Mr. Mouse is being fleeced now...it's a bit tricky for me as I've not a lot of experience covering foam with fabric. I usually just spray and coat the bare foam. I had to make mockups with muslin patterns and adjust them before cutting the fleece patterns. The thighs and feet are provin' to be a pain in the patootey, lol...but I'll get there

Thank you, Esch, nice that you like my dolls, yes, I've been busy making lots of puppets, I'm in the throes of making a grandmother puppet now, not sure how it will turn out but I do have fun making them.
Hope things work out for you with the fleece covering.
My challenge right now, puppet-wise, is making 3D eyes with lids, I'm finding I can stretch white felt over toy golf balls and they will keep their 'rounded' shape which makes it easy to cover the ball without having overlapping, I'm using felt because the golf balls have little dents all over them that would be visible if I used a standard jersey.
I'm expecting some eyelash yarn in the mail soon too. I love experimenting with pattern making and various techniques that work for me. So much fun!
Ok, I'm waffling now

Just checked out your album, are those golf balls you're using? Wouldn't that be a co-incidence, lol. I thought I would be the only one using them.

those are plastic golfballs I get at the dollar-store. I cut it almost in half and bend it open, then add my lid and sticky fun foam eyeliner and safety eye-ballies

That's so clever, and with animals the dents seem to work well.
