I was wondering if anyone has done business with http://www.buy.com
My reason for asking is that I received a email alert from tech savers and PC magazine on a printer deal alert. It was to hard to pass up so after going thru countless reviews on the product I placed a order........ I bought a Brother MFC 6490cw Business copy machine for $190.99 with free budget shipping. Thinking that I had scored big, the next day I was doing some searching and quite by accident came up on some terrible reviews about this company Buy.com. I guess i should have listened to something my Grandmother told me if it is to good to be true then it probably is so leave it alone. Since I just placed the order on Friday and it is already " In the shipping process " that meaning you can not cancel the order. I hope everything will be alright but am prepared for the worse case scenario. I'm wondering if any of you have ordered from this company and if I'm just getting excited for nothing.

I bought an item or two through them. I had absolutely no problem with the purchase. My dissatisfaction came from getting many, many, many emails telling me how many things I could buy through them. It took a while, but I finally got my email address removed from their database.

Again, I had NO problem with my purchases. Just really annoying spam, later.

I've done some business with buy.com and the only problem I have had is getting them to honor the warranty for the product I purchased from them.  Their strategy with me seems to be "put him off until the warranty runs out then we're safe".  It's not right and it angers me but what can I do.  The item isn't worth hiring a lawyer but at the same time it's not chump change to me.  I guess it's a lesson learned, find out if they have good customer service before you buy.

Thank you Jon and Chris  for replying. I called the customer support and just as I read in quite a few reviews. They use a third party customer service outside of the USA. I was very honest and told them about the bad reviews and they assured me of delivery in 7-9 days
As for the warranty..... I have the square trade warranties from some other items bought from Walmart. I however have not dealt with them personally. I have only dealt with warranty issues from EBay with a refurbished item. I suppose I will just have to wait.
