and he is performed similar to BB... different tho.  No string for 1... And i personally dont feel that he is our lead... we have many walking-talking puppets. 

The floating arm on big bird is that a floating arm....it is not used to open and close the mouth that would be hard to control or manage easily in a large suit like that....he has one hand in the mouth of bigbird and the other arm is working the other hand of Bigbird.

Hey Daryl, maybe you could sketch out an idea of what Big Bird's foam skull would look like?  I have faith that you'd have a good idea.
