What foam to buy online? Posted by Brooke Reilly on Oct 22, 2009
I've been unsuccessful finding foam for a puppet mouth at craft stores, so I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations for foam from amazon and the like that I could buy.
My birthday is coming up and I plan on asking for some puppet making supplies!
Thanks!

hey Brooke...are there any upholstery shops in your area? I think a lot of cities have some somewhere...bet you could ask for some small scraps if you didn't need a lot. Or just buy a couple of yards off of a roll, that'll keep ya going for a while, lol
how much did you need? I could probably get some to you in a couple of days--i use the regular ole 1/2" polyfoam not the fancy reticulated stuff
another thought---if it's just for a mouth, have you considered a card-board mouthplate? or you could even use the "fun foam" found in craft stores, it comes in some nice thicknesses..ellen

considering mouthplate, you may want to buy foam core (craft/art foam). I use it for my mouthplates.
