My name is Freda. I am the Conference Director for the National Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers. Our website is www.fcpfellowship.org. We will be having a National conference July 19-23, 2010 at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. It is a great time of fellowship, training, and sharing in all of the Creative arts including puppetry,mime,puppet making,clowning,dance,and more!

Hello Freda and Welcome to Puppets and Stuff. Thanks for the invitation.............. I live in Greenwood S.C not far from Rock Hill. I am planning on visiting this year. I did not make it last year. Make your self at home and If you are ever in my neck of the woods look me up.

Thanks Freda for the offer.............. I don't do much performing these days. I just try and teach what I know to those willing to learn.
My Sister has a puppet and clowning team at her Church.............. I will see if she is up for the challenge. I looked at the line up for guest, looks inviting. I will get back with you. Do you have a volunteer program or need helpers?

Welcome to the forum! There are so many puppet conferences in July! Why do they all have to be during the busiest time of my performance schedule!!! It certainly would be fun to attend!

Hello Freda,
Thanks for the invitation. I live in Camden,SC about an hour from Winthrop University. I've been over the puppet ministry at my church for the past 5 years and have been building puppets for the last 7 years. I'm going to let the group know about this when we meet again. We attended a conference in Anderson, SC in 2007 and the group participated in some of the competitions and it was a blast. Maybe we might be able to attend.

To Angel,
We have a competition at FCP called the Challenge of Excellence. Let me know if you are interested in performing in it. We give away trophies for Clowning, Drama, White light puppetry, Black light puppetry, and Dance & interpretative movement.
