My first carved marionette Posted by johian on Nov 04, 2009
Hi fellow puppeteers,

after finding more time and all the equipment i needed, I've started to carve my first marionette.
I've made alreay some parts and this I want to share with you all. I must admit that it is big fun
to see the body apear out of the wood. Soon I will post more pics.
Sincerely Johian

Oh that is soooooooooo wonderful!!!  I can't even tell you how excited I get over this medium.  I have a huge collection of wooden toys and puppets.  I love the raw look  from the carving.  GREAT JOB!!!  Seriously so fantastic...AND YOUR FIRST! WOW!   Can't wait to see it all together...although I absolutely adore pictures of disassembled wood puppets...YUM!

xoxo,

Wow I remeber when you were looking for the best tools for the medium....nice work and yes I also like seeing wooden marrionettes in pieces.....however I can't wait to see altogether and in action.....keep up the great work.

Those hands are amazing......I think hands are the toughest thing to carve and make in general.
