To add on to what Shawn says you can use Build a Bear clothing products they fit the Simple Series of the Project Puppet Patterns.  They sell hoodies and many other things.

I really like the color choices you've made. The darker yet neutral fur makes an excellent contrast for the bright accents. It really makes them pop.

The second character is really cool as well. I can't wait to see them come to life as puppets.

Great artwork I can't wait to see what the creations look like when you bring them to life.

Oh wow, the colours you chose are so much better than what I was thinking - he really does look punk and very much an art monster! Nice job!

Just a thought about his stylus and pencil fingers, in case you decide to make them functional.

He's a monster, so he doesn't necessarily need to have a thumb and four fingers. What if he had  three rather wide, furry fingers on each hand so that inside, you could fit your thumb and first two fingers in one finger slot to actually hold the stylus and pencil? Then you could have it appear that they're his actual fingers but you'd definitely be able to manipulate the instruments from inside, yourself.  Your other two fingers could fit into his second and third finger slots.

I apologize if my terminology is incorrect, but I think you'll understand what I mean.

What a fun project!

Well I went and did some pricing for clothing at build-a-bear (Thanks for the idea Daryl!)  Funny enough, the employees there had other puppet builders come in for clothing too (Whoever first thought of build-a-bear was a genius).  Otaku Monster's wardrobe is gonna be a lot more affordable than I thought (7 bucks for a hoodie, 5 for a backpack), I have a bevy of anime related pins/buttons from my years of anime fandom, seems like the only thing I need to worry about now is getting the sockpuppet pattern from project puppet, and the materials to build the body.  Does anyone have a good suggestion for a green fleece for a 'kermit' like skin? (since antron is impossible to find and I don't have the cash for what some are asking for.)

Tammy - I was planning on Art to have a thumb and three fingers, so just in case I wanted to make the Pencil functional (I have a thought on making that happen, but I'll worry about it later).

I'm working a few more designs for The ConMonsters. I'll post those as I finish them.  I might just make a new thread here called "The Conmonsters" so I can keep all my progress in one spot.  Is that okay to do?

I think a functional pencil would be almost mandatory for this guy but how would you see what you are drawing if you operate him from below? A periscope? or would you operate it next to you while you were visible? these things could influence your design quite a bit.
While we're on drawing puppets, search for Mr Squiggle on You tube, this guy captivated thousands of Aussie kids through till the late 70's. Check out more than one episode, the drawing is quite clever at the end of a puppet.

Regular non-pill fleece that you find in the fabric stores is a substitute for Antron fleece. Actually Antron is no longer being made but it's substitute is available at Georgia Stage and at Matt's shop on-line.  Sorry I don't have the links handy.

You would have to dye the new Antron since it only comes in white unless you buy through a secondary source.  The non-pill fleece you find at regular fabric shops can sometimes be found in colors you want.

Wow, thanks for those links!  I checked out directions to GA stage (since i live in georgia). Just one more reason for me to move to Atlanta like i've been planning!  But I think I'll take a look at the Non-pill fleece Shawn mentioned first since we have quite a few fabric stores in Savannah.
