He's looking very nice. I agree that the arms are a bit long. I usually make the arms about as long as the body. That way the hand hangs just below the puppets hips. This looks natural like a real person would look. You deviate from this rule to meet the needs of specific puppet characters.

Also I really like the body shape. Characters look more realistic when they have shoulders.

Cut about five inches off the arms and glued the hands...time to start covering those now... here is a pic.
