I am a long time admirer of puppets and puppeteers. While I did participate in puppet shows when I was younger (I had several puppets when I was younger) I never have built my own. That is what I am endeavoring to do at this time.

I am so excited to find a forum where the art of building and working with puppets is discussed. I look forward to being an active part of the idea exchange that takes place on this wonderful forum.

I really admire all kinds of puppetry from shadow puppets to the Mummenschanz. I really enjoyed seeing the black light puppetry (I had never seen that before I logged onto your site). I guess my heart is really into the foam puppets - you know Henson inspired creations. I am a real fan of Mr. Henson. I enjoy the quirky comedy that tends to come from these creations as well as the other worlds that can be created.

I am working up diagrams to create a couple of foam characters or my own. I hope that gives some idea of where I am coming from.

Glad your here Cathy.  This really is a great site.  I refer everyone I know who's into puppets here.  There is a wealth of information.  Ask and very soon you will receive many responses.  Can't wait to see your designs.
