I Tip My Hat, Greetings All Posted by Wonderologist on Jan 02, 2010

Hi.

I am new to this world of puppet building and puppeteering, so I find myself stumbling into this place all wide eyes and curious. My name is Jessica, and I hale from the Los Angeles area. Jim Henson's works saturated my childhood. After searching the internet and books for more information about his life and art, I found myself with the desire to have a puppet of my own.  Max, who is my very first puppet project, was built just recently durring this Christmas time. I am finding myself quite drawn to the world of puppets. I have, perhaps, become addicted. It's the first puppet gets you hooked.

So here I find myself, admits all of you, hopping very much to meet your aquantences and become friends.

Let me add that the base of the head shape was modeled after Barbra Dewey's design. She is such a sweet lady and encouraged me to get started.

I agree Barbara Dewey has helped  many over the years with her you tube videos and free patterns. Your puppet has a lot of character.
