3 heads for marionettes Posted by Kai2010 on Jan 05, 2010
Hi everyone,
2 years ago i made 3 heads for building a marionettes, but i stoped at building the heads.
The heads are made with clay on a strip of wood.
The first head is the head of the evil queen, second is the head from the grandma and the last is the bad old hag.
The hands and the rifle belongs to the huntsman, but his head is lost.

What can I say,
these are great heads! Why have you stopped building marionettes with such a talent?
Please, continue building marionettes!
And as Billy just said: glad to see more marionette builders on the forum.
Hope to hear and see more of your fantastic work.

I agree with everyone else, your marionette heads are wonderful. You are a very talented sculpted.

Very nicely done! Great job. I can understand stopping after the head is done. I really enjoy sculpting the heads myself but then find it hard to move on build the rest of the puppet. Right now I have 5 heads sitting on my desk and only a 1 and 1/2 pair of hands.

I have the exact same problem.
Its exciting and to build up the head because you dont now how ist will look finaly.
Of course you have a mood board with photos and drawings, but in the "flow" of building
you change something here and something there.
In my opinion the head is the most important part of the puppet, it makes the character of the puppet.
