Thanks a lot for the patterns.
I choose one and show you the puppet when the fabric is screwed on the foam.

Just to help you with your english.
"...when the fabric is sewn on the foam"
Looking forward to seeing your new puppet when they are completed!

@shawn
I know its called sewing when you use a needle and thread.
I wrote screwing because when it won't work with a needle and thread,
i gonna use some screws to make the fabric stay on the foam.
Slowly but surely I begin to disapear with the fabric
Where are you placing your seams on a oval shaped head.
I watched the video from this guy from canada, I think his name is alex (Puppet tutorial 02: Covering foam with fabric).
Slightly difficult this rough cut technik.

I agree with the others it seems to be a mouth plate issue either lop sided or to small for the mouth opening......I would also suggest when making a pattern from scratch is to get some postal paper and tape (for present wrapping) and make a rough to see if it will work a bit. Once you get it right you then have a pattern ready to go. It will save your valuable and expensive materials for more projects.

hey bro, sorry that my posts are a little looooong and confusing, its very difficult to explain some of this stuff!!
i know that you have now built another head, but ive uploaded a few pictures to hopefully explain a little of what i was trying to show you with the circle of foam cut in half, the picture shows a slightly irregular circle cut in half and glued on and ive chosen not to place the circle centrally, but its the same thing and well worth trying out one day (obviously it looks better when covered i fabric)
i really hope that you find a way that works for you and im looking forward to seeing your puppet during its building process, but this is always the hardest bit, so stick at it and i hope we can still be of some help to you.
Ben.

@jeezbo
now i know what you meant. Good idea with the cheeks.
So ladys and gentleman,
it's time for a little picture update.
The foam is covered with the fabric.
Her hands are posable.
Big thanks to Jon!
Your method with the fabric worked fine.
