Thank you Shawn, I think this makes life so much easier.

Here's some pics of work done so far, he's kinda dorky as I hoped he would be, lol.

Got to think about hair, or no hair, or maybe a bandana? Trying to keep him in the Barbados colors, yellow, blue and black.
Will work on his torso and try to incorporate the ideas and suggestions above.

Suggestions most welcome!

rosie, I really like what you've done so far.  You could make the a tight fitting hat and mask all in one in the blue, yellow and black.  That would  be very super hero like.  I personally like puppet super heroes to be a little dorky looking.  It makes them more friendly.

I really like your super hero so far!!! I tend to agree with Jon, I would say go for a solid hat type setup....almost like a "Flash Gordon" hood...I am excited to see the finished result!!!  Be very careful...this becomes addicting very, very quickly...we just finished our second, and are starting on number 3 right now...Good Luck with yours!!!!!!!!  Looks Great!!!!

@Miguel, thank you!
@ Jon and Caleb, I'm still working on the hood in my mind.

Here what he looks like so far, his name is VitaMan, Kai designed the logo on his chest, thank you Kai, I traced and cut the pieces out of felt and it looks much nicer than what I first had in mind, thanks again Kai, your design makes all the difference!

Rosie, Thanks for the compliment on my Full Body puppet. He is over 4 feet tall and a dream to operate. Your superhero looks great.

Looking good!  How did you end up doing the hand rods?  Did you use the "paddle" idea? The logo on his chest looks very clean.  I personally think that the method you used, is one of the best to get a professional result.

@Jomama, thanks, your puppet looks really great, I'll have to look in your album to see more.
@Shawn, yes, using felt always works well because it doesn't unravel and the edges are always as clean as you cut them, I love working with felt. I did use the method you suggested, but I had to use plastic balls with holes in them, I couldn't get to the hardware store. The ball thingys are actually the kiddie pony tail ties, with the elastic through the holes in the balls, at each end, can't remember what they're called, the changes I would make with this is to use thicker dowel next time, I'll have to warn the puppeteer that he has to be gentle with his movements, lol.

That's what I call a great job! Love it (The custom, body, mask, the logo, well... The puppet itself)
