Hiya Spatch! I myself am not a puppeteer, but I've thought about making YouTube videos. My actual plan, once I get really good at building them, is to sell them. Nothing too elaborate or complicated

Pics first, then Youtube at last give them as present to people who like them and need them. Maybe later, I will sell them.

I shove them in an airtight plastic bin with no air holes.  I'm cruel like that.  LOL...no, I now only make puppets that I am actually going to use in a show.  I only make miniature puppets now so they don't take over my home.  Once I have done a show, I do put them in a protective box until I am ready to do that show again.  I also hang the more artsy ones up as functional art in my home.  It scares my husband but that's probably why I continue doing it....lol.  I don't like to perform in front of a camera because then I become too critical of myself.  I will only do live performances and I only do children's shows locally.  This was a great thread.  I look forward to hearing what others do.

Well, I have a pile of not quite finished puppets that weren't going the way I wanted for my own use... lol.
But I use three of mine for my almost weekly Blogtv show and have done a handful of videos http://www.youtube.com/user/VampireWombat .The one I'm currently working on is going to be for a new Blogtv show, if things work out. I'm hoping to soon start selling some on Etsy, though,

My puppets are made for particular shows, and then often become "repertory" puppets if they can easily fit into other plays. I've given away one of my own creations, other than that, they live in plastic bins, waiting for another chance to go on stage. As much as I love watching other people's puppets on video, I discovered that I really love the live theater.

Hahaha Nikole! I love the way you started your post!!! LOL It reminds me of when I worked sorting Priority Mail years ago.... whenever I came upon a build-a-bear that was being shipped, I'd tape over it's air holes just to be funny then send it on it's way!

Yes, I was one of those little kids with the magnifying glass torturing bugs.....
