An Avenue Q advertisement is deemed inappropriate for one city's bus shelters. http://www.komonews.com/news/offbeat/85095127.html

Yeah ok that's inappropriate... people need to get a grip! Bikini and fashion models bare more and are splashed on billboards and bus terminals all the time!

Wow!  I didn't realize Colorado Springs was that conservative.  It really seems kind of silly.

You know, I'm pretty conservative, but to quote KnytMuppet, "Get a grip." I agree that it is silly.

While I don't think I would ever take a young child to see Avenue Q, I think that seeing something like that in public could be a good starting point for talking about "girl parts" with youngsters.  Notice the word I used... that was not to be delicate here but at a young age they don't really comprehend it all. It might be better to talk to them and straighten them out on some things before the piped up at school are during a dinner party with something they heard from a friend.

True Shawn! The things that gets me is, other countries are far more open about sex and sexuality and they aren't a bunch of degenerates... we here in this country (America I mean) act publicly like sex and the human body are disgusting and shameful and shouldn't be talked about or seen and anyone who does is some sort of sexual deviant. If we acted more like it was natural and not a big deal, which is the truth anyhow, there might not BE so many problems here in the states!

Just my 2 cents!

, If you pay really attention all around the world(I'm saying all you can know, watch and hear), you will find out because of to be so liberal, so much pervertion and immorality(Of course, for many people they have their concept of morality. But, good to know that we have a law giver who tell us what is morality) Use something (In this case puppet) to gain attention just showing that part(We all know that sex, even in that sense attract people, in one or others ways). We see that as people we loosing respect, using toys in that way, just to gain attention!
