Great Zeeth, Shawn! I had to go and listen to Dora, of course, then there was Bowzer, and NSync . . . Who knew so many folks had covered this song. The Ladysmith Black Mambazo version uses the English lyrics I know so well, and on their "The Gift of the Tortoise" album, the Tortoise, as narrator introduces it exactly as I had envisioned doing it with puppets, as a kind of lullaby.
(I used to sing it in my high school days, but my falsetto just doesn't cut it anymore. I'd be a good half-octave lower now than I was then.)
I don't know who was doing the Muppet impersonations, but they were pretty good. I'm surprised that the Muppets haven't done this song, it seems like a natural for them.
To thoroughly hijack my own thread the page http://www.africanpuppet.blogspot.com/ that you listed, also has a Muppet version of Bohemian Rhapsody posted to YouTube last November, that is just wonderful!

This is just a part of why I love puppets. They can take you in so many interesting directions.
