Need Blacklight reactive fabrics Posted by MsPuppet on Mar 09, 2010
Has anyone found a source for pink fleece that glows like the orange or yellow? I've seen some that glows a little, but need to find a source for some that is really reactive. The same with green. I've used some pastel that glowed, and a lime green that glowed some, but not like the orange or yellow (which glows across a room when the blacklights are on).

I have a blacklight pink that I'm selling on my website. Later today, I will try to get a picture of it in blacklight and post here...just give a couple hours to get my kids off to school. ;-)

OK, here is a picture of my blacklight fabric.
As you can see, the pink is not quite as bright as the yellow, but really as a rule, pink isn't as bright anyways.
Also, it is brighter than the picture makes it look, I think.

As I'm sure you know, blacklight is hard to get pictures of, so that's why they are only under regular light.

Any idea where I can get bolts of it?
Re: Need Blacklight reactive fabrics Posted by lovable puppet pals on Mar 10, 2010
This pink is probably not bright enough for what you are looking for...in fact, I am going to start advertising it only as an "accent" color for blacklight. However, if you still need some, I may be able to help...just let me know. I could also send you a sample of it.
I purchased mine from a place in WI called "Mill End Textiles" and they offer 2nds or bolt ends, so it's not possible to purchase it by the bolt.

Fleece Lady seems to have a good selection. I have only purchase one color from them, but it wasn't for a blacklight project. The bummer is they won't send samples and most of the fabrics you have to purchase in 2 yds quantities. Keep in mind...almost fluorescent is not flourescent. It might be worth it to purchase some to find out.
MSPuppet: If your looking for green, yellow or orange in bolts I can get that for you. You are welcome to pm me and I can send you samples.
Thanks Sara for you help. I received the fabric very quickly and professionally! Look forward to doing business with you in the future.

I have yellow and orange. I have two greens, although neither of them are as bright as the yellow/orange under b/l. Is your green really reactive? Is it on your web site?
