birthday party Posted by gompie on Mar 21, 2010
My Daughter turn ten a week ago and Saturday we had the party with her friends. We decided to make sleeve puppets. I used an idea that i found on the internet
mouse-puppet-tutorial

It turned out great we did afew steps together. I allready made the blue sleeve and step my step they made their own puppet, together we did the mouthplat, eyes and tonque, the rest their own fantasy. I hot glued everything I just bought a new gluegun from pattex and this one is getting really hot. So my fingers did burn a few times. The fun was so great, we were busy for 2 hours normally they aren't that busy with something. The only problem for my daughter was we didn't have time to play a game.....................

When the mouthplate was ready (still no eyes or tonque) you heard on the table voices of puppets and

The kids who were ready were going to play together with the puppets. IN every corner of the living room you hear teh voices of the puppets and their makers.

Group picture of all the puppets,2 are missing, friends did had to go earlier they were asking their parents if they could stay to finish their puppet...................

That's just wonderful! Sock puppet makers, take note of what can be done with a simple tube of fabric, and see you on May 9.

This is how I made it
pattern (sorry you have to turn the picture and in cm)
joy

when it is sewn picture is in side out

with a mouthplate glued on the seam from rubber plate 2mm thick and a tongue of red felt. I made a pattern of that and draw that on the felt or rubber allready
They had to cut it
joy 019

and eyes for the places of the eyes they had to put their hand in the puppet

the nose is a little pompoen (I don't know the English word) glued in place

These steps we did together from this point they could let their fantasy make the puppet. I glued everything it is to hot to do it theirselves.
