Hello, I believe puppets are a great form of entertainment because, it gives the child and adults alike a strong form of imagination. It puts our mind in a safe and wonderful world, where we can relate to the challenges the puppet charactor goes through. We laugh and sometimes feel that challenge the puppet goes through. Sometimes as a puppeteer I even feel the emotion of the charactors. I also do 'Ventriloquism', and walking around my home with several personalities in my head, (not to mention driving my wife crazy) makes my world very interesting. Unlike being a clown or bringing a pony to a party, we can be all kinds of charactors, and take people on an adventure of a life time. Children recall more in later years about puppet shows because to them they at sometime or another they were that charactor, with that problem or fun time in their life. I remember in church once, we were giving a show and sometime later the children still remembered the story and the charactor, and laughed about it. I hope for years to come the shows I perform in will give many children and adults memories for years to come.

Welcome Robert! Sounds like your family is much like mine! My husband accuses me of acting like my characters but them I remind him that my character Shiloh is based on him! He writes for our puppet team and often talks about the "town" that lives in his head and the conversations that they have as he writes! Like you said
