I never thought of using a food grater to shape the foam. Thanks for the tip. I normally do rough shaping with an exacto or serrated knife. Then to shape further I would use a Dremal.

For me it's not so convinient to use Dremel for flat or almost flat foam surfaces,I affraid to take out more than wanted. :-( I use it mostly for fine details ans so. I usually start cut with scroll saw,I have mini nice this one http://www.hobbytoolshed.com/catalog/item/5463397/5467736.htm than craft knife ,I like to work with OLFA, than graters, than wallscreen and finally - sand paper.

I love the way you photograph your art .......... That really makes the details stand out and they come to life. What type camera do you use. I could really use some pointers on photography.
