Thanks for the comments. It is a simple system But, it took me awhile to get the bike pulley system to work. The bike is made of #4 copper wire and brazed together. The wheels are are that blue poly sheathing material you can get from Lowes. (I found that works pretty good for carving and sanding shapes) The pulley system is made from plastic bushings and neoprene grommets from Ace Hardware. I had to make the legs really light weight and spray fixative on the string to give it enough friction to keep it from sliding. Anyhow, Na there's a ton of pics and video showing the design process on my facebook page. (search for stageright puppet productions on facebook) or this link may work for you. It would be great if all of you who do facebook would check that out and click on the "like" it button. That way I can get a weblink that makes sense.

Fantastic! I love the synopsis of the story too, I read that first and thought, "but how's he going to do the bike?" wonderful solution. So much respect....

Thanks for the Facebook link. I've been a bit busy lately, but have bookmarked it and will definitely have a proper look when I have more time.
I have to say, I'm a big fan of the complicated-yet-simple mechanism. I make a lot of those myself

thanks Steve and Na. I 've been battling sinus infection for 2 weeks now so I didnt make it back into the studio till today. I'm beginning to design costumes for the characters. Went to Goodwill and bought a bunch of used clothes and jackets to use for material. My wife is going to teach me to sew. Should be interesting. I'll post more stuff when I get a chance.
