Something pretty exciting happened in Winnipeg just a little while ago.  There was an animation film festival, and one evening included a collection of puppet movies that were gathered and "encouraged" by Heather Henson, daughter of "The Henson."  Heather was in attendance, and talked a little bit about the production of the various shorts.  As a result of even this brief a contact with the famous puppet family, the few puppeteers in Winnipeg are now planning on holding a puppet slam, and Heather Henson has agreed to come back to Winnipeg to attend and participate in some way.  So planning is in the works, and if you're someone who would be interested in attending or performing and would be willing to come to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to do so, just search for the Winnipeg Puppet Collective on facebook and become a member.  Hope to see you here!
