Are sock puppets welcome on this site? Posted by thecharlestons on May 20, 2010
Hello everyone.  I am new to the site and am loving it.  I noticed a lot of GREAT looking puppets on this site, but I am not seeing a lot of hand or sock puppets.  Is it ok for me to be posting on here if I work with sock puppets?

All styles of puppetry are welcome here at Puppets and Stuff!  Billy has already pointed you to just one of the recent threads on the subject and there are others.  In fact there have been two others that I can think of in the last year or so off the top of my head that featured sock puppets made during one of Daryl's Blog TV sessions.

Thank you for the kind words.  That project puppet site has some great stuff.  I will be checking back often.  I am already learning so much about the puppet world.

Hi , sock puppets are great. Recently I was working on an idea to do a project with sock puppets. I had a go at improving what I had always done up until now, and   shared the process in  a youtube  vid. I thought it  might be  useful for anyone wanting  humanoid  sock puppets here.

Great sock puppets! Still easy enough to do that children can make them also.

Never forget that Kermit the Frog started off as a glorified sock puppet. Henson made him from two wool socks. Lambchop, another internationally known puppet, is also a sock puppet that, unlike Kermit, has not changed and still carries the sock-like appearance.
