Welcome to Puppets and Stuff............................. Very interesting video. I would like to know more about how you made your marionettes. Are they made from clay or paper?

Sorry, I haven't logged on since the first posting but to answer all your questions at once:

The puppet is made from balsa wood and we had to go through several prototypes.  We had never done anything with puppets and had to learn everything on our own.  The most difficult thing was getting the mouth to respond in the way we wanted.  We tried modeling it after some methods outlined in books but found all of it unreliable and difficult to match words from a quick rap song.

It was not a school project.  I, with a friend, am starting a small video production company aiming to provide video services in puppets, stop motion, and other craftier visuals.  This was our first attempt at it and have started production on some other things. 

Having known about this community before this video would have been a lot of help.  Thank you for all the feedback.
